Velgia V3444
 Velgia was the last Vega to be imported
to the UK. She is a fine example of the Mark III Vega with her new mid-red
canvas work (Di's handywork). She is based at Haslar Marina, Portsmouth and can
often be seen sailing around The Solent. Owners, Dave Earl and Pete Byers, are
well known faces at Haslar Marina and can often be found in the bar of Minnie
Mouse 3 (Haslar Marina Clubhouse). Velgia takes part in the annual Round Island
Race where she always gives a good account of herself against the other Vega
entries. She now sports new sails and with her sponsored mainsail (picture of a
tap, Dave Earl is a plumber!) she can be seen at quite a distance.
